Yes, Santa, I have been good!

Yes, Santa, I have been good!
One of my alltime favorite Santa pictures!

Last Saturday, Santa had a really busy day starting by working with the best looking photographer he works with, Jennifer Snell of Tail Waggin Photography.
From there it was back to the great folks at Kitty Hawk Kites:
Well, today I was in the red suit for 8 hours straight and I'm really tired now! But I have found unless I write these blogs while the memories are fresh, it just doesn't quite work. And then I tend to keep putting them off until it's too late! I don't know if it was because of the longer time period or the fact its a full moon or something else, but today was very interesting!
Still getting a lot of Star Wars requests, light sabers, Lego's sets, etc. But in the 12 plus years I have been doing this, the one item that keeps popping up, in addition to Barbies, is the Easy Bake Oven. And of course, Santa is always promised some cookies! This year there have been more requests for BB guns and my response is always, "You'll put your eye out!" Of course many of them don't get the reference at all! This year Santa also got a request for arrows of the target variety!
Today I was asked for maybe only the second time ever what Santa wanted for Christmas. After a little thought, I said after the long night's work on Christmas Eve, I would like a big cup of hot chocolate and a foot stool to put my feet up on!
But what about the unusual requests, you ask and there were several today! Like the little guy that wanted a remote controlled car that turned into a remote controlled airplane. Then he admitted that he had just made this one up, but it did sound interesting! Perhaps the most unusual request for the day was the little guy that wanted a remote controlled Praying Mantis! I did have one guy who asked for World Peace but he quickly changed that to Beef Jerky!
There was one young lad that brought in his tractor, a blue one, to show me the type of connector need on the Hay Baler he wanted to go with his tractor. Another wanted a John Deere combine! One young man asked for a golf cart and when I told him he was too young to drive a golf cart(you see earlier in the afternoon someone came through with a broken arm . . . from standing up in a golf cart)he decided it was for his Mom!
Santa was interviewed by someone from one of the local high schools and the best question was how long does it take to get from the North Pole to Kitty Hawk Kites. I told him not very long at all because I use magic to travel!
Several pet requests came up, dogs and cats mostly but I did get a request for a pet pig! And another little one asked for a pocket weasel! What, you may ask is a pocket weasel, at least I did! It seems it is a smaller cousin of a ferret!
There were a few request of the type that reflect a very selfish point of view, like the young lady, maybe 12, who asked for a private jet or the young guy who wanted a Ferrarri Watch! But there were also, to balance these requests, children who expressed an eagerness to learn and improve themselves that did Ol' Santa's heart good! One was the young lady who asked for paintbrushes because she loves to paint! And the other was the girl who asked for a violin because she wanted to teach herself how to play it!
Tomorrow I will share with you some of the lists I got today!
